January 4, 2025 - Jason received his Principal as Instructional Leader license from the State of Texas
March 2024 - Jason was elevated to second in line to inherit the Issho-Ryu Karate System by Soke Brown.
December 9, 2023 - Jason received his masters degree from Lamar University in Educational Administration. He is working to receive his Principal’s license and build his capacity as a school leader.
August 5, 2023 - Jason was moved into a fifth grade classroom to build his teaching capacity across all Elementary levels.
July 2, 2020 – Promoted to 4th degree black belt and awarded the title of Shihan in Issho-ryu Karate. In addition, Jason honorably wears Soke Brown’s 4th degree black belt.
May 2020 – Hired as a second-grade teacher at Deer Creek Elementary School in Cedar Park, TX. Jason plans on promoting the martial arts program to his new community.
April 4, 2017 – Jason and Soke Brown opened Trinity Martial Arts Club in Cedar Park, TX. Jason is continuing to teach karate in the community, while spreading the Word of God to all whom he comes into contact.
August 2016 – Jason was hired as a second-grade teacher at Timmerman Elementary School in Pflugerville, TX. Jason moved to Cedar Park, TX to also help open a karate school in the community.
June 2016 – Jason was promoted to 3rd degree black belt in Issho-Ryu Karate.
May 2016 – Jason graduated Manga Cum Laude from Ball State University. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese and Elementary Education.
April-July 2015 – Jason traveled to Japan as a study abroad student. Jason studied at Sapporo University for three months. Jason also joined a karate program through the University.
July 26, 2014 – Jason was promoted to Nidan – 2nd degree black belt – in the style of Issho-Ryu Karate.
June 2013 – Jason traveled to Brazil, with Soke Brown, to spread the Word of God through martial arts demonstrations.
August 2012 – Jason enrolled at Ball State University to study Japanese and Elementary Education, while continuing to help the ministry. While at University, Jason continued to practice his martial arts. In his free time, Jason taught self-defense seminars to a variety of clubs and programs across campus.
July 26, 2012 – Jason was promoted to Shodan – 1st degree black belt – in the style of Issho-Ryu Karate.
June 2012 – Jason graduated from Carroll High School with academic honors.
2011 – Jason started to teach intermediate classes at USA Martial Arts, as well as teaching basic classes alongside Soke Brown.
2008 – Jason began his training at USA Martial Arts by going to an annual summer camp. At that camp, Jason received his first promotion to 1st and 2nd yellow belt.
2006 – Due to conflict between the school and family, Jason took a break from the first martial arts program he joined. At the school, he received his Red-Black belt (equivalent to an Ikkyu).
2003 – After seeing a martial arts demonstration at school, Jason enrolled into his first martial arts school. From there, he would begin to study Taekwondo.
October 6, 1993 – Jason Hufford was born on this day in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jason lived with Bob and Vivian Hufford, as well with his older brother, Christopher, and twin brother, Jarrod.
